private medical insurance
If you have Private Medical Insurance the Ophthalmology Consultant Fee should be covered by your Health Insurance Company. If Stephanie has requested a necessary orthoptic assessment as part of your investigation this fee will not be covered by private medical insurance and will need to be self funded.
However, insurance policies vary their level of cover, so please contact them before your appointment to obtain a pre-authorisation code for your appointment and they should also inform you if there is an excess on your policy to pay. If your insurance company does not cover your orthoptic fees these will need to be paid by yourself in advance of the appointment.
We have an agreement in place with all major UK health insurance companies BUPA, AXA, Vitality, WPA, CIGNA and AVIVA. Fee Assured
For those who have no medical insurance or whose medical insurance company does not cover the assessment fee, you can still be seen as a self funding patient and you will be invoiced directly for payment of the Self Funding Fees.
